The Guardian Day Foundation was founded in 2021 when a Baton Rouge first responder family faced an overwhelming medical crisis. The spouse of a firefighter was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and the mounting medical expenses became unmanageable. Witnessing their struggle, fellow first responders and community members united to create a fundraiser to support them.
This grassroots effort grew into something far greater—a nonprofit organization dedicated to easing the burdens of first responders and their families during times of crisis. Today, the Guardian Day Foundation continues to honor its roots by standing beside those who protect us.
Guardian Day brings together music, camaraderie, and purpose at the Firmin Barn for a family-friendly day featuring live bands, classic cars, and a chance to support first responders in need.
